1979 – 2008

1979–2008. In my previous career at the School of Materials at The University of Manchester, I taught undergraduate teaching laboratory classes on darkroom processes and skills. In addition I trained postgraduate and postdoctoral students in darkroom techniques and held regular workshops on how to prepare audio-visual and poster material. During my counselling career I trained in couples counselling and facilitated, and led, training events. I carried out those duties based on mutual respect and latterly drew on the person centred core concepts of congruence, empathy, genuineness, and respect.
